Greg Youtz

Professor Greg Youtz is a composer and professor of music at Pacific Lutheran University. Over the years, many of his compositions have dealt with aspects of Pacific Northwest history, including a recent opera on the anti-Chinese “Tacoma Method.” In this interview, he discusses his varied influences, his participation in the Chinese Reconciliation Project Foundation, and the place of allyship and art in social justice movements.
