Willie Stewart

Willie Stewart is a retired Tacoma Public Schools educator and administrator. In recognition of his work and volunteering, he was selected as the 2019 Tacoma Peace Laureate. In this interview, Stewart discusses his upbringing in Texas, his work in integrating Tacoma’s schools, and the legacy of discrimination in the region.
